Objective:  Reporting to the Vice-President of Technology Solutions, the Cisco Architect will work as a Pre-Sales Technical Architect as well as technical partner in the Cisco space.  

Responsibilities:
  • Provide advanced presales support for enterprise networking opportunities
  • Translate complex business requirements into network solutions.
  • Develop overall network solutions including high-level and detailed designs, statement of work, and bills of materials.
  • Lead and develop the Networking practice for Client's Area clients.
  • Work with engineering, management and the sales teams in the development of architecture, sales strategy, productization, pricing, and proposal generation for professional services.
  • Work closely with Area Sales Managers responsible for prospecting, qualifying, presenting, and selling Enterprise Networking solutions.
  • Prepare and configure Statement of Work as well as Notice of Engagement's for customers and Client Account Managers.
  • Act as main liaison between the Client Engineering and enterprise networking solutions.
  • Work with Area Delivery Manager and Consultants to assure Client's readiness to deliver given practice solutions.
  • Lead and participate in Cisco marketing events, vendor relations, and Account Executive Education on Cisco solutions.
  • Provide technical sales support for Client Account Managers both on site and remotely, and develop solution proposals for customers based on their technical and business requirements.
  • Act as a prime point of contact with the Client for all technical issues during the pre-sales phases including addressing design and proposed integration concerns and pricing.
  • Interface with internal cross-functional teams and external third party vendors to ensure on-time delivery of technical proposals to customers and accuracy of designed solution.
  • Continually provide input on enhancing internal presales processes and develop new processes to create a more efficient workflow.
  • Create and deliver sales training plans to ensure account executives are enabled to sell latest Unified Communications, Collaboration, and Video technologies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with peers at vendor partners.
  • Remain current on the latest technologies that align to our business initiatives.
  • Exceptional client relationship skills working with enterprise level customers
 
Requirements:
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco networking solutions including, but not limited to, Network systems, Datacenter, Unified      Communication, Mobility, Wireless, Security and its implication and      importance on business decisions is essential.
  • 5 years of Cisco pre-sales and engineering experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience working for a Cisco Partner, consultant or Integrator.
  • Experience with Statement of Work preparation and writing.
  • Strong customer sales and presentation skills.
  • Experience positioning and designing Cisco IWAN, Meraki, Instant Access solutions
  • Experience positioning and designing Cisco Datacenter technologies (Unified Fabric, Nexus, UCS)
  • Experience positioning and selling Cisco Collaboration and UC technologies
  • Strong Layer 3 and 2 knowledge with knowledge of IP protocols, firewalls, Load balancers, routers, switches, and IDS/IPS
  • Experience positioning and designing L2/L3 core and access layer infrastructure
  • Knowledge of SAN switching, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, and FCoE
  • Experience positioning and designing Network security (Firewall, VPN, IPS/IDS)
  • Experience working with and designing network architectures with IP Routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, DMVPN, and iWAN.      Layer-2 switching technologies and related WAN technologies like MPLS,     DWDM, T1, T3 OC3 and other WAN Technologies
  • Solid understanding of system design and architecture with the ability to  independently troubleshoot complex routing, switching and forwarding    issues across multiple Cisco routing and switching platforms
  • Knowledgeable of enabling technologies such as QoS, ACLs, Multicast, Security, etc.
  • H.323, SIP and/or MGCP integration experience with UCCE Solutions
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (technical documentation and client communication)
  • Ability to travel up to 50%.  
 
Certifications / Education:     
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience is required
  • CCIE R&S (Lab and Written) certification is desired
  • CCNA,CCNP,CCDP certifications desirable
  • CCIE Voice or Voice Written is desirable. Cisco CCNP-Voice certification is highly desired.
